Helping You Achieve Success
Gloucestershire LDC
The Gloucestershire Local Dental Committee (GLDC) is a statutory body who’s committee is comprised of elected dentists from the local area, working on multiple levels to represent and support the profession locally and nationally.
LDC’s exist to represent dentists to the NHS and other related organisations and usually have a pastoral function for the local professional community, providing support, advice and representation for individual practitioners where required.
The LDC comprises Gloucestershire based general dental practitioners to ensure professionals in the area have their views listened to, valued and shared in continuing the high quality standards of dentistry provided in Gloucestershire.
Our committee aims to meet 3-4 times annually and we have representatives on committees both locally and nationally including the General Dental Practitioner Committee of the British Dental Association.
The GLDC is a body which relies heavily on GDP’s paying a statutory levy to fund the work and expenses of the LDC to enable to function and represent effectively and allow contributions to such bodies such as the British Dental Guild and the dentists Health Support Trust.
